In 2012 I was playing my guitar in a tent outside on the mall in Washington D.C. I had a vision of Jesus standing there with his old rugged cross. He was not on the cross but just holding it balanced by his side. It was so powerful. I was reminded of the scripture, "for the joy set before him he endured the cross!" He is not on the cross anymore but alive! Even better he is living in us, all around us and before us. He holds the Seven Stars in His hand and is the one who holds the cosmos together. He is highly exalted because he lowered himself and poured out his life unto death, even death on a cross! The Father is heard shouting from the sky, "this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." The Roman cross was and still is the most horrific way to die. Despite this, Jesus Christ the God man set "his eye like a flint" to make the most horrible thing mankind ever made into the most precious sign to billions the world over. He pulled the precious out of the worthless. This is what He does, This is the Gospel.
